The Audax pesticide consultancy services are operated by two organisations, Audax Information Management Systems Ltd and Audax Audits Ltd. The principal directors of these are Phil Gurney and John Edmunds.

Phil Gurney has a First Class Honours Degree in Chemistry and is a Master of Business Administration. He spent many years working in industrial research before taking an MBA and working in the Venture Capital industry. He spent six years as a Director of Restec Laboratories, the pesticide residues analytical laboratory in Worcestershire, and added an extensive knowledge of pesticides and related legislation to his skills in information technology, business and science. He has developed Audax Information Management Systems, the proprietary software which is at the core of the pesticide information services provided by Audax.

John Edmunds is one of the most experienced pesticide experts in Europe. In the public sector he worked for the UK Government, the EU Commission and the United Nations. He was instrumental in setting up the still current UK national monitoring exercise before moving to the private sector to found the pesticides facility of Restec Laboratories. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and a Chartered Chemist, he is a founder Director of Audax Audits.
